BOSTON — The Boston Bruins announced they’ve recalled center Martin St. Pierre from Providence (AHL) and placed winger Marco Sturm on long-term injured reserve. This will be Sturm’s second stint on LTIR, as he had previously been on for symptoms of a whiplash.

While the Bruins haven’t revealed the specific injury, Sturm was seen grabbing his left knee before he was helped off the ice during Thursday night’s game with Toronto.

St. Pierre, who has 21 gamesĀ  of previous NHL experience with Chicago, is leading the P-Bruins with 35 points (10-25) in 30 games this season.
