Three sent to Providence

The Boston Bruins this morning announced that forwards Vladimir Sobotka and Martin St. Pierre, and defenseman Matt Lashoff have been assigned to Providence (AHL).

With the team now in the All-Star break, this gives the club some cap relief for the next few days. It also could allow the three players to skate with the P-Bruins in their lone game before the AHL All-Star break Saturday at Springfield.

Expect at least one of the two forwards to be recalled after the break because Milan Lucic could be back active by the time the Bruins return to the ice Tuesday against Washington, but it’s not expected that Patrice Bergeron would do the same.
