While the Boston Bruins fell in a shootout last night in Nashville, the other two divisional teams in action — Toronto and Ottawa — both prevailed. The Maple Leafs routed Pittsburgh, 6-2, behind one goal and two assists by hulking center Nik Antropov. The veteran had been called out earlier this week by general manager Brian Burke, as Rosie Dimanno explains in The Star, and now the Kazakhstan native is responding.

MK: This is good news for the Leafs, who obviously want Antropov to boost his trade value. He’s someone the Bruins might kick the tires on if better opportunities don’t arise.

Elsewhere around the division:

•Those “Miracle Senators” were at it again, as they rallied from 3-0 down at Minnesota to beat the Wild for their fourth straight victory. Allen Panzeri has the story in the Ottawa Citizen.

John Vogl of the Buffalo News has a feature on Sabres captain Craig Rivet.

•And over in the Montreal Gazette, Dave Stubbs has Canadiens goaltender Carey Price getting ready to warm the bench in his British Columbia return tonight.
