Krejci’s goal was just his second in 10 games. It was one of two shorthanded goals by the Bruins, who swept the season series with the Hurricanes, four games to none.

•It probably wasn’t the way he dreamed about breaking his scoring slump, but Patrice Bergeron sealed the win with an empty-netter — his first goal since Nov. 21 (21 games).

Shane Hnidy’s goal, his third of the year, proved to be the game-winner. The defenseman has now matched his career high with 12 points.
