With the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games just a year away, every expert and his brother is picking the players they deem worthy of inclusion on next winter’s rosters.

Today, the esteemed Puck Daddy blog over at Yahoo! sorts out his Team USA, which includes Boston Bruins winger Phil Kessel and goaltender Tim Thomas — no surprises there.

Even if you don’t want to read about something that’s still one year away, it’s worth clicking over just to check out the photo of Sergeant Slaughter, one of wrestling’s all-time greats and someone who has to be rooting for Mickey Rourke at Sunday night’s Oscars.

UPDATE: Today it was announced that Team USA will open the tournament Feb. 16,  2010 against Switzerland. Somebody get Thomas a Swiss scouting report.

MK: The Bruins are going to be well-represented in Vancouver, when you figure Zdeno Chara will join the Slovaks, David Krejci the Czechs, P.J. Axelsson the Swedes, and maybe even Marc Savard the Canadians. Plus you already know Martins Karsums will be with Latvia (but, like Axelsson, may not be with the Bruins by then).
