BOSTON — Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien offered a brief update today on forward Petteri Nokelainen, who has been out with an eye injury since Feb. 10.
“I kind of made the mistake last week, saying that he had been skating. But he had started working out last week with (strength and conditioning coach) John Whitesides,” the coach said at TD Banknorth Garden. “But today was his first day on the ice. He had the clearance to participate in a skating session, but he’s still not allowed to have contact. So hopefully that’ll come in the next few days if everything goes well.”
