Michael Ryder and Chuck Kobasew both scored twice for Boston, which got a shutout from Tim Thomas in net. The veteran puck-stopper earned his 100th NHL career win and also tallied his second career assist — his first helper since April 13, 2006.
The win might have come at a physical cost, however, as both Milan Lucic and Marc Savard sat out the third period. Head coach Claude Julien disclosed they both suffered upper-body injuries and will be re-evaluated Friday.
