Karsums assigned back to Providence

BOSTON — After the Boston Bruins’ 4-2 loss to Philadelphia tonight at TD Banknorth Garden, general manager Peter Chiarelli informed winger Martins Karsums that he was being assigned to Providence (AHL).

Karsums was a healthy scratch for the second straight game.  On the season, he has appeared in just six NHL games.

His equipment had already been packed away with the rest of the Bruins’ gear, but the diligent equipment crew dug it out so Karsums could go and join the P-Bruins for the second half of their road trip.
