BOSTON — The Boston Bruins added two new members to their line-up but still couldn’t muster enough offense to prevent their third straight loss, 2-1, to the Phoenix Coyotes tonight at TD Banknorth Garden.
After pressuring for the game’s first 10 minutes and even taking the lead on a goal by Chuck Kobasew, the Bruins sleepwalked through the next 30 minutes and then pressured — to no avail — in the third period. P.J. Axelsson recorded an assist on Kobasew’s goal — the 19th helper of his season, which tied a career single-season high.
Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 25 saves to earn the win in net.
