Things have been testy of late in Toronto, where some would like to see the Maple Leafs start losing more often in order to get a better shot at projected No.  1 overall draft pick John Tavares. And the players and coaches are obviously not buying that notion — they’re professional athletes with competitive natures, after all.

One player who’s definitely not tanking it is forward Jamal Mayers, who according to Steve Buffery in The Sun, let the team have it during an intermission.

Buffery also quotes other players who are quick to shoot down the “tanking” theory.
