WILMINGTON, Mass. — And on the fourth day, they rested.

Or at least the majority of Boston Bruins players took advantage of this day — the fourth of five straight days between games — to only get in an off-ice workout.

On the ice at Ristuccia Arena were Tim Thomas, Manny Fernandez, Byron Bitz, David Krejci, Dennis Wideman and Chuck Kobasew, who didn’t skate the last two days with the team.

Kobasew said he’s feeling good. The media excused head coach Claude Julien from his post-practice duties — a move he hopefully appreciated.

By the way, for more on Fernandez, check out Stephen Harris’ story in today’s Boston Herald. I  don’t usually link to other beat writers’ pieces, but Harris hit the “Fernandez jackpot” with the sometimes unapproachable goaltender’s candid comments.
