In his blog for CBC.ca, former Boston Bruins player and coach Mike Milbury, now a CBC, NESN and NBC analyst, writes that Eastern Conference-leading Boston now “faces its stiffest challenger in the stretch run. And, he’s right there in the mirror.”
Milbury’s quick to point out that the one win over New Jersey Sunday doesn’t mean much if the club doesn’t build on it after its five days off.
MK: Milbury is right about the win over Jersey, but there’s no reason to believe that this team won’t continue to improve. Every top club in the NHL — San Jose, Chicago, Detroit — seemed to struggle in March. It’s just a product of the length of the season among other factors.

I think it is great that a Bruins TV guy is finally speaking his mind. I love Millbury and the persona. I don’t however agree with him much, but I feel that he is right here. The Bruins worst enemy is themselves, because it seems as if they have become complacent with who they are. It will be very tough to turn it back on during the playoffs so they really need to turn it on every game now.
