WILMINGTON, Mass. — Everybody knows that while hangovers are the worst, the day after a hangover can be great.

You’re full of vim and vigor after sleeping it off and getting hydrated, and you usually find the motivation to make up for what you didn’t get done the day before. With Bruins head coach Claude Julien calling Tuesday night’s loss in Ottawa “like a hangover,” this is his team’s “day after” — and the club got back to work at practice at Ristuccia Arena. With Montreal looming tomorrow night, this could be the opportunity to get something done –  as in knock the Habs from the playoff picture.

The only unexpected missing player was Chuck Kobasew. Dennis Wideman, Andrew Ference and P.J. Axelsson also sat this one out.

UPDATE: Head coach Claude Julien confirmed that Kobasew took a maintenance day, but he added that like Axelsson and Wideman, the veteran winger is day-to-day. Julien also said there’s a chance there could be a player called up from Providence (AHL), but that decision might not be made until tomorrow.
