While a lot of the talk in the Boston locker room today after practice was about Michael Ryder facing his former team and the physical play that should dominate the upcoming Bruins-Montreal series, it seems a lot of the same themes were emanating from the Montreal locker room after the Canadiens practiced.
The Habs Inside/Out blog has some great audio clips. Here is one quote from former Bruins center Glen Metropolit. You can hear in his voice how much he’s relishing being in this series.
“The emotions are going to be high out there, and if it gets rough out there who knows what’s going to happen?” he said. “At the same time, being on that team last year, once you get in the playoffs, Boston-Montreal, I think both teams have a lot of confidence. I know this group does. They beat Boston last year; it’s almost the same team. So I don’t really think there’s an intimidation factor or anything like that. I think we’re just going to go out there and compete and what happens happens.”
