Habs making changes already

BOSTON — It seems the Montreal Canadiens have pressed the panic button for tonight’s Game 2 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with the Boston Bruins at TD Banknorth Garden.

Rookie Yannick Weber and winger Sergei Kostitsyn have been inserted in place of forwards Tomas Plekanec and Matt D’Agostini. Neither player that has been removed was much of a factor in the Bruins’ 4-2 Game 1 win Thursday. Also, Francis Bouillon, who did not play in Game 1 because of injury, skated the warm-up alongside Mathieu Schneider. UPDATE: Bouillon is in. In 54 regular-season games, he psoted 5-4-9 totals with a minus-7 rating.

Other than Matt Hunwick’s well-publicized departure from the lineup, the Bruins seem to be formed the same way for this game. Tim Thomas will start in goal. Here’s a look at the lines and D pairs from warm-ups.
