I gave you plenty of the Boston perspective last night after Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series with Montreal last night after the Bruins’ 4-1 win to complete their four-game sweep. So now let’s take a quick look at the Canadiens’ side of things.
In the Montreal Gazette, Pat Hickey explains how injuries and, more importantly, mistakes cost the Bruins. (MK: Let’s face it, mistake No. 1 was last season when they put Michael Ryder in the doghouse). Hickey also looks ahead to what promises to be a summer of change for the Habs, while Hall-of-Famer Red Fisher wonders what happens now that Bob Gainey’s five-year plan is done.
Herb Zurkowsky has Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas giving advice to Carey Price when it comes to reacting to the fans. (MK: I don’t know if Price reads the papers, but this is advice he should heed before he gets run out of town.)
