BOSTON — The Boston Bruins showed no signs tonight of the rust that was allegedly going to grow on them during their nine-day layoff after finishing off the Montreal Canadiens.

The Bruins now lead the best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 scheduled for the same place and time on Sunday. Michael Ryder and Phil Kessel now have at least one point in all five of Boston’s postseason games.
