The Boston Bruins practiced this morning at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, Mass., where the Internet access was down.

So now that I’m back hoe I can tell you that everyone hit the ice except winger Chuck Kobasew. Head coach Claude Julien said Kobasew battled the flu last night and he should be 100 percent ready to go for tomorrow night’s Game 3 of the Bruins’ Eastern Conference semifinal series with Carolina in Raleigh. Byron Bitz skated the drills on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Mark Recchi in Kobasew’s place.

The bigger news than who wasn’t on the ice was about who was. Prior to the Bruins’ session, winger Marco Sturm and defenseman Matt Hunwick went through a light skate. Both were back on the ice for the first time — Sturm since he underwent January knee surgery and Hunwick since he had his spleen removed a few weeks ago. Both were scheduled to travel with the Bruins to Raleigh.

“It’s great and they’re with the team and they’re part of the team and we want them around us,” Julien said.
