Defenseman Johnny Boychuk’s goal 7:36 into the second period put the Providence Bruins head to stay en route to a 4-2 win over Worcester in Game 2 of their Atlantic Division final series at DCU Center last night.

Wacey Rabbit and Jeremy Reich recorded two points apiece and Tuukka Rask stopped 22 shots, as the P-Bruins jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Martin St. Pierre gave Providence a 1-0 lead late in the first period before the Sharks tied the score on a goal by Riley Armstrong early in the second.

Game 3 is Friday night back in Providence at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center.
