RALEIGH — In a bit of a surprise, the Boston Bruins are not scheduled to practice today, the morning after their Game 3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes put them behind, 2-1, in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinal series.
Head coach Claude Julien is expected to address the media at 11 a.m. at the team’s hotel. I’ll have complete coverage after that.

This is very surprising. Julien seemed so ticked off last night I assumed he’d take them to task during practice. Maybe he’s just letting them stew a bit so they’ll think about how poorly they’ve been playing instead. Sooner or later they’ll have to realize that defeating Montreal in the first round was not the ultimate goal of this season.
