MONTREAL — With the 176th pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, the Boston Bruins selected Tyler Randell from the Kitchener Rangers (OHL). Ranked at 116 by CSS, Randell is a 6-foot-1, 191-pound right winger. In his second OHLL season, Randell totaled 24 goals and 37 points in 73 games. He also put up 99 PIM.
The Bruins’ next and final pick is scheduled to be No. 206.
•The Los Angeles King just traded center Brian Boyle, formerly of Boston College and a Hingham, Mass., native to the New York Rangers for a third-round pick in 2010. Guess his value has dropped jsut a tab and the Rangers are stocking up to form some sort of Bay State All-Star Team.
•We are now in the sixth round of the rapidly moving 2009 NHL Entry Draft at Bell Centre. The Boston Bruins hold pick No. 176.
