		<description>Twelve years seems ridiculously long.  I mean I know that long term contracts have become Detroit&#039;s favorite thing to do, but seems to be a risky thing for the Hawks - esp when they have Toews and Kane contracts coming up.  I have a hard time seeing Hossa as being a good fit for the team, but clearly someone thinks he is the perfect fit.  Good luck to them.</description>

		<description>if those numbers are correct, 5.167 a year for Hossa?  lower cap hit than the sedins?  i can see him taking a pay cut because he wasnt the performer he was expected to be in detroit, especially in the finals, but there&#039;s no way the sedins are more valuable.  sedins contract is way too high regardless of hossa&#039;s signing.  good news for the bruins, hossa&#039;s deal might help lower the market on kessel.</description>
