The Boston Bruins have officially announced. Recchi will hold a conference call tomorrow at noon.
TSN reports that the Boston Bruins have re-signed veteran winger Mark Recchi to a one-year, $1 million contract.
Recchi, a trade-deadline-day acquisition by the Bruins last spring totaled 10-6-16 offensive numbers in 18 regular-season games after moving from Tampa Bay. In 11 playoff games, he totaled 3-3-6. But most famously he toughed it out after suffering with a kidney stone and having surgery to remove it during the seven-game loss to Carolina in the second round of the playoffs.
This move suggest even more that the Bruins’ roster will look almost identitcal when they open camp this season to the one that finished last season.

Great! Now I WILL have a pleasant holiday weekend.
I’m glad to see him back. I think his presence brings a lot to the team in terms of toughness and leadership. It will be good to see him battling for the Bs again.
