New alignment for AHL Atlantic Division
The Providence Bruins, the Boston Bruins’ American Hockey League farm club, will have a new division rival when the 2009-10 season opens.
The AHL today announced the divisional alignment for next season, and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (the New York Islanders’ affiliate) have been shifted from the East Division to the Atlantic to join the P-Bruins, Worcester, Springfield, Portland, Manchester, Lowell and Hartford.
The AHL regular season is scheduled to open Oct. 2.
