I disagree. You sign a younger far more durable defensemen who will be very comfortable in the locker room already have played with Ferrence, Kobasew, Savard. He will adopt Claude’s system along with contributing offensively on the power play unit. Again, it’s only 1 year so it frees up money next season in preparation of signing the likes of Lucic, Wheeler etc. This team finished first in the east and are finally relavent under the direction of Peter Chiarelli why can’t you and others see the intelligence in shoring up the defense while not tying up long term money.
Would have been good, but why do it to sign morris for one year. Chiarelli is not being smart here.
