The Boston Bruins rookie team is proving adept at winning one-goal games at the tournament in Kitchener, Ontario.
Today the Bruins downed the Ottawa rookies, 4-3, to improve to 2-0 in the tournament. Goaltender Michael Hutchinson made 47 saves, while Jamie Arniel scored twice.
Boston, which won its first game in the tournament, 6-5, over Toronto, went ahead early in the third period for good on a goal by Tyler Randell. Then Arniel extended the lead to two.
The Bruins will wrap up tournament play tomorrow against a team of Pittsburgh rookies.
