Over at TSN.ca, Darren Dreger is reporting that the Phil Kessel saga (hockey’s No. 2 soap opera of the summer after the Dany Heatley affair) is finally over and that the Boston Bruins have traded the winger to Toronto pending his agent agreeing on a new contract with the Bruins.

The Globe and Mail is also reporting the deal is done.

While the stories don’t confirm this, the latest rumor had the Bruins receiving two first-round picks and a second-round pick in exchange for the unsigned restricted free agent, who has been a holdout since training camp opened last Saturday.

More to come I’m sure.
