ottawa_senators_logoAs the preseason winds down and the Boston Bruins get ready to skate in their next-to-last exhibition game against Ottawa, Senators general manager Bryan Murray is struggling to find takers from around the league to pawn off some of his spare players.

Younger players like Peter Regin are making roster decisions difficult, and even high-priced veteran Chris Kelly could be a cap casualty if he doesn’t find a way to win over head coach Cory Clouston. So while the Dany Heatley saga is way back in the Sens’ rear-view mirror, there are still plenty of controversial choices left to be made. Tonight’s game might provide a final verdict.

Elsewhere around the division:

•Toronto goaltender Jonas Gustavsson will make his exhibition debut tonight.

•The Buffalo Sabres should keep rookie Tyler Myers — so says Buffalo News columnist Bucky Gleason.
