It’s finally here. When the Boston Bruins’ schedule came out in July, one of the first games you circled was Saturday night’s tilt with the Carolina Hurricanes. The rematch of last year’s disappointing Eastern Conference semifinal playoff series should be an emotional night at TD Garden.

“Obviously, it’s a nice challenge for us,” Bruins center Patrice Bergeron said today after the Bruins practiced in Wilmington, Mass. “It’s a good team but we also do remember what happened last year. It’s a team that’s never going to give up. We were doing really well before them, so we remember what happened.”

The Bruins, of course, have more to play for than just revenge on the ‘Canes. They also want to bounce back after their lackluster loss to Washington Thursday. However, the ‘Canes will be just as motivated after they were shut out at home by Ray Emery and Philadelphia tonight.

Complete coverage of the game will be available here and at ESPNBoston.com.
