Kobasew
While I never truly took a liking to Chuck Kobasew’s play, he was always a polite and affable guy, albeit very quiet, off the ice.
And today in a chat with the Minnesota Wild Web site after the announcement of his trade to the Wild, Kobasew proved he’s also honest. When asked about his reaction to the trade, Kobasew said:
“I was a bit surprised, but in Boston we weren’t playing that well and when the team’s not playing up to expectations and you’re not playing up to expectations, these things can happen.”
Kobasew summed it up as well as anybody could. One assist and a minus-2 rating in seven games wasn’t cutting it. He’ll be a solid addition for the Wild, who without Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Martin Havlat and Petr Sykora are craving offense.
