When a team suffers through a 1-2-0 week like the Boston Bruins did from last Monday through today, it can be difficult to pick a player that starred above the rest.

But center Patrice Bergeron had an excellent week. He totaled one goal and two assists with a plus-1 rating in the three games to earn my Bruins of the Week honor.

Bergeron was also solid in the faceoff circle with 34 wins in 55 opportunities (62 percent). In the Bruins’ one win, at Dallas Friday, Bergeron registered a goal and an assist and won 63 percent of his draws.

Other candidates for the award were center Marc Savard (2-0-2, minus-1) and defenseman Mark Stuart (1-1-2, plus-2).

The Bruins’ week ahead features games at home against Nashville and on the road against Philadelphia and Ottawa.
