Cheechoo
At 5-2-1 and tied atop the Northeast Division standings, the Ottawa Senators don’t look like they’re any worse off in the aftermath of the Dany Heatley trade. But while Milan Michalek is doing his part to make the deal with San Jose a win-win, fellow former Sharks forward Jonathan Cheechoo is not holding up his end of the bargain.
The veteran winger has yet to score a goal and logged just 7:38 of ice time in an overtime loss to Nashville the other night. So the Boston Bruins will look to make sure the “Cheechoo Train” stays in the station tonight when they visit ScotiaBank Place.
The Bruins might catch a break in Ottawa because Michalek and goaltender Pascal Leclaire are questionable with injury and illness, and star center Jason Spezza is a little banged up but playing.
