I don't consider a move right now to be a whack of the panic button. Its a realistic decision if they want to have any shot at having a better than mediocre season. They will not be coming out of this tailspin any time soon if things continue they way they have. Waiting for Savard to come back and the apparent inability to deal with the scoring issues this team is currently having will hurt this season. They have the bargaining power, I say use it before player value goes down any further.

They miss Savard horribly on the PP; he's the key to the entire thing. Krejci is the QB on the second unit but he still isn't totally back to normal after his surgery (which is also hurting the offense overall).

I'd like to see Hunwick on the PP point.

Who runs the powerplay? Is that Coach Julien's gig, or is it handed off to Ramsay? The B's powerplay looked even worse after I watched the Canucks whip it around against the Rangers. Sharper, more control and rather than ringing the perimeter, they were creating chances. Something's gotta give.

As frustrating as it is, I'm with Char, they don't need to hit the panic button.

Maybe it's just me, but I think it's about time they let Boychuk play; at least a game or two.

They HAVE guys who can score. I can see making deals if they didn't have them, but these guys are proven goal-scorers, who are all unfortunately slumping at the same time. That said, a panic move is not what they need. The players need to do their jobs.

And it was three posts.

I don't envy Chiarelli right now...does he wait another month for Savard and Looch or does he make a deal to get some scoring punch? Considering that almost 1/4 of the schedule happens this month, I suggest he do something about it now.
