Sobotka

A rough 1-2-0 week for the Bruins, who scored just three goals in the three games and were shutout in New York Sunday, doesn’t provide one with a long list of candidates for Bruin of the Week.

So I had to dig a little bit and I determined that center Vladimir Sobotka was deserving, not just for his two-point effort in the lone win against Edmonton Saturday. Sobotka, who should sue the TD Garden stats keepers that didn’t credit him with a single hit against the Oilers, was awarded six against New Jersey Thursday and three against the Rangers. (more…)

Lundqvist

Yet again, the Bruins failed to record consecutive wins, as they followed Saturday’s win over Edmonton with a 1-0 road loss to Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers today.

This week, Lucic revealed that someone showed up to the team Halloween gathering dressed as former Boston winger Phil Kessel. There’s no word on whether he shied away from contact when asked to shake hands or was slowed down by the ridiculous amount of cash in his pockets.

Another week, another Bruins pursuit of a two-game winning streak.

Today the Bruins will really find out if they’re finally hitting their stride, as they visit the fast-starting New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Fresh off their 2-0 shutout of Edmonton yesterday behind Tuukka Rask’s 19 saves and a Norris-worthy performance from Zdeno Chara, the Bruins are still in search of their first winning streak of the season.
