Goaltender Tuukka Rask was the first off the ice after morning skate today in Washington, D.C., as per the NHLBruins Twitter feed, so he will celebrate being named the NHL Third Star of the week by trying to thwart the President’s Trophy winner.

Montreal’s Jaroslav Halak and Anaheim’s Saku Koive were the First and Second Star, respectively.

Also, as per Naoko Funayama’s Twitter feed, Adam McQuaid was out with a concussion (formerly called an upper-body injury) suffered when he tripped on a suitcase and hit his head on a table. Personally, I would’ve stuck with the story about getting hurt in a fight in Florida, but that’s just me. Dennis Seidenberg skated and said he’ll give it a try tonight after getting 15 stitches to close a gash in his wrist.

The Bruins are 0-2-0 vs. the Caps this year and have been outscored, 8-2.
