Although Boston now just needs two points, or a New York Rangers regulation loss, to clinch a spot in the postseason, captain Zdeno Chara doesn’t want his team to think it has accomplished anything yet.

“I mean, I know it’s probably a big win, but at the same time, we know that … we don’t want to be relying on other teams,” he said. “We want to get there by us winning and we haven’t accomplished anything yet until it happens. And to that point, I can’t really make a comment on that. We just want to keep winning games.”

The Rangers start a home-and-home series with Philadelphia Friday night.
