Several media reports and Twitter feeds this morning confirmed that Phladelphia forward Claude Giroux will play in tonight’s Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Bruins at the Wachovia Center after missing the third period of Game 5 Monday.

Giroux was injured late in the second period on a hit by Steve Begin, who was handed a two-minute boarding penalty for his efforts. Giroux suffered an upper-body injury, which was reported as probably a shoulder by several outlets.
