The NHLPA has yet to release the dates officially, but it seems that if the Bruins go to arbitration with Blake Wheeler and Gregory Campbell, they now know when they’ll be doing the hearing.
According to Boston.com, Wheeler’s hearing is set for July 27, while Campbell’s is set for July 22.
Wheeler was a cap hit of $2.8 million (including performance bonuses) and Campbell $800,000 last season. The Bruins can accept the ruling or walk away if they fail to get a deal done before the arbiter hears the case. A second buyout period will then open up for a short time after the hearings or a settlement.
According to CapGeek.com, the Bruins currently have 18 players under contract for just north of $58.6 million without Wheeler, Campbell or No. 2 overall pick Tyler Seguin factored in.
