You might have deduced based on yesterday’s poll question that it’s time to take a glance at the Bruins’ prospect pool and determine which players are closest to making an impact at the NHL level.
And that’s just what I’m going to do over the next few days.
I am going to rank the top 10 Bruins prospects based on how close they are to becoming regulars in the NHL. Players who have graduated from last year’s list (had there been one) based on NHL games played were Tuukka Rask and Johnny Boychuk. Brad Marchand and Adam McQuaid both tasted a solid dose of the NHL, but I still consider them prospects because neither played more than 20 regular-season games.
Feel free to weigh in with your thoughts on Boston’s up-and-comers throughout the series. And I’ll try to update the list somewhat regularly during the rest of the summer and during the season.
