G-Dog won. He was closest without going over at 2.1 million. He wins a year of watching Blake Wheeler play for the Bruins.
At this point, it would be foolish to walk away… this is a fair price for wheeler, and lets face it, he’s playing for a big-boy contract next year. I can assume only good things will come from this.

Matt, I think the overriding principle here is “lets not break this thing”. Bruins fans are really hopeful for this team and they just want the last minute details finished up without too much upheaval.

All I get all week are negative emails about Wheeler, but then “keep him” is winning the poll in a landslide. Weird.
This ruling was pretty much what was anticipated. Wheeler is a talented 23 year that has a chance to get much better. Find the cap space and get him signed.
