BOSTON — The Black beat the White, 3-1, in the Bruins’ scrimmage today at TD Garden.

Patrice Bergeron, Jamie Arniel and Lane MacDermind (empty net) scored the goals for the winners, while Zdeno Chara scored for the losers.

•Bergeron scored early in the second half on a feed by Tyler Seguin, who recorded his first non-rookie game NHL assist.

Here’s a look at the play:

•Brad Marchand, one of the most hated men in the AHL, got under defenseman Dennis Seidenberg’s skin with a low hit. Seidenberg retaliated with a slash that earned him a two-minute penalty. The two players buried the hatchet later.

“I was just a little annoyed,” said Seidenberg. “It’s a practice and the guy comes in pretty low. But he knows, he apologized. It’s just the moment. It’s not like I’m going to fight him or anything.”

•Not only did Seidenberg restrain himself, so did tough guys Shawn Thornton and Brian McGrattan. They were on opposite sides of the scrimmage, but were only on the ice at the same time for a couple brief stretches and failed to drop the gloves.
