BOSTON — After making their first-round of cuts, the Bruins held their morning skate at TD Garden in preparation for tonight’s exhibition game at Montreal.
The lines were as follows:
Caron-Bergeron-Paille
McGrattan-Campbell-Reich
Recchi-Seguin-Wheeler
Horton-Spooner-Sauve
Tuukka Rask will start in net, and he expects to play the full game.
Here’s some video of the Bruins going through some 5-on-5 drills:
There were no surprises among the early cuts with Adam Courchaine, Michael Hutchinson, Levi Nelson and Cody Wild assigned to Providence (AHL) and Ryan Donald, Jordan Smotherman and Antoine Roussel released from their tryout agreements so they could report to Providence. The P-Bruins open camp Saturday afternoon.
Tyler Randell was returned to his junior team in Kitchener (OHL). Forty-nine players remain in camp, and most will make the road trip to Montreal and Rochester.

The guy McQuaid embarrassed looked oddly like a young Komisarek. I think it was one of MTL’s prospects. Poor kid… went cry to the ref afterwards in protest.
Bergeron’s goals were beautiful. Especially the first. The pass by Paille was very creative and un-Paille-like, and the finish was the epitome of patience paying off. Boychuck’s bomb was sick too.
Goaltending was fabulous as usual. It’s still Tuukka Time, baby.
oh, and McQuaid straight demolished somebody, but I am sorry that I cannot report exactly who that was. GREAT GAME.
was a great game. won, 4-2. Frenchy announcer kept mispronouncing “Reich.” Bergeron and Seguin lines were excellent. whole team was great, really. curious to know who got hit for the minuses. Rask was superb. WHOO, HOCKEY SEASON!
