Video: Seguin scores one, but stopped in the shootout

Seguin
BOSTON — Tyler Seguin’s TD Garden preseason debut against legit NHL competition, more than a week after he skated in the Bruins’ rookie games, had its ups and downs.
He cashed in on a backdoor feed by Zdeno Chara for his first goal of the preseason. And then he was denied on a shootout attempt in the Bruins’ 3-2 loss.
Here are his complete postseason comments to the media:
I wish they would take Chara off the PP.
Please!
Forgot to mention, nice interview in the 2nd intermission Matt. Can’t wait for the book to come out!
Hell of a pass from Chara, hell of a finish from Segs.
As I said in an earlier comment and as is commented above, Ryan “Arthur” Spooner played a really good game. Was in the mix every shift. Good stuff.
Horton displayed scalpel precision with his goal too.
PP looked pretty weak and the friggin’ breakout, or lack thereof, was beyond frustrating. I hate the d-to-d pass behind the net as the safety valve, or better yet, the go to first pass. They need to be going forward!
Meh, it was preseason though, still time to remedy things.
I agree Spooner was great i love his speed and shot the kid just seems to have stardem written all over him he has poise and knows where to play without the puck i wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if he turns out to be the steal of the draft
SPOOOON, should get the chance at a nine game look if he keeps playing at this level. I don’t like 18 year old’s playing on the third line against the other’s teams top talent though. The same goes for Seguin, he should be on the second line for now.
Seguin handled himself very well out there tonight… I was impressed with his intuition and his puck handling skills. His goal was a beaut too… Clemmonson gave him very little space to work with and he managed to roof it from close range.
I was also impressed with Kampfer and Bartkowski. But I was most impressed with Ryan Spooner. This kid can PLAY. He has all the intangibles, not to mention speed and an NHL shot. I’d love to see him get a shot at centering a third line while Savvy is out. 10-15 more pounds and a few years of big league experience, and he will be a top-6 forward for sure.
On a not-so-pleasant note, the power play was god awful. Quite a few players were not themselves tonight, which didn’t help the cause.
