If Tim Thomas walked out of ScotiaBank Place and stepped into the middle of the street, it’s pretty obvious he would have been able to stop on-coming traffic.

The Bruins goaltender continued his All-World play tonight in Ottawa by making 29 saves for his second straight shutout in a 4-0 victory.

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli says he and his staff actually made the decision to keep Tyler Seguin in Boston earlier than last night.

He just chose last night after the team’s win over Toronto to inform the 18-year-old he can plan to stick around the Hub for the 2010-11 season.

If you played in the NHL in the Hall-of-Famer’s day, you did it all. And if you’re Nathan Horton, and you’re trying to squash all rumors about your lack of passion and love for the game you make your living playing, sometimes you have to pretend like you’re in Milt Schmidt’s era.

Seguin battles Toronto/By S. Bradley

BOSTON — The fans chanted “Thank you Kessel” during the Bruins’ 2-0 win over Toronto tonight, and after the game Tyler Seguin got to say thank you to general manager Peter Chiarelli and all the club’s brass.

The No. 2 overall pick in last June’s draft is sticking around for the season.
