With the regular season now less than a week from starting, I have to ask:
Or do you think two of these guys should be in and someone else should be out?

Hunwick’s motivation etc isnt exactly questioned either, im just talking from a pure results standpoint, regardless of injuries. if ryder and ference and wheeler and the rest of the crew from last year who werent traded away are given free second chances, hunwick deserves his too. bartkowski is better served in providence, and like several others, has made a strong case to be a fairly dependable call up. i dont mind ference as a bruins defenseman, despite his inconsistencies, i just feel that he is not the top 4 guy they want him to be. occassionally during stretches of the season? absolutely. hopefully he proves otherwise.
Paul, how can you compare Ryder & Ference? Ryder’s a clown who publicly says he can’t find consistent motivation. A.F. is a solid competitor, good teammate, plays physical and n0 one questions his commitment. Has he got hurt a lot? Yes. Did P.C. give him a ridiculous contract? Yes. But he shouldn’t be bashed all the time. Guy’s a good player and well respected by his peers and organization.
hunwick deserves the chance to fix his game, especially if someone like ryder and ference gets to stick around.
Got to keep McQuaid….he’s good in the 7th D-man role. You try to send him down, he’ll get scooped up and you’ll need him at some point this year. He did fine last year, he won’t cost us any game with stupid plays.
No, McQuaid will be on a one way deal next year, but this year, its two way deal.
is mcquaid on a 1 way contract too?
