Fan favorite Miro Satan, a playoff hero for the Bruins last spring, has signed a one-year contract with HC Slovan Bratislava with an out clause that would allow him to join an NHL club this season, FoxSports reported today.

Satan’s agent, Allan Walsh, confirmed via his Twitter account that the contract Satan signed is a game-to-game deal and that there are four NHL teams interested in Satan’s services. It’s doubtful that the Bruins, who signed Satan last January, would be one of those teams considering the difficult decisions Boston has to just cut down to the maximum 23 players in time for Saturday’s season-opener in Prague.

Satan scored nine goals in 38 regular-season games last season, but exploded for five scores in 13 postseason contests — none more famous than this one, and the ensuing celebration, against Buffalo in Game 6:
