Puck picks: Projecting the road to the Stanley Cup championship

Crosby could do this again this spring
Over the last two days, I revealed by predictions for the Eastern Conference and Western Conference regular-season standings.
Now it’s time to take a bolder look into the future and map out the 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs.
East
Pittsburgh over Carolina
Montreal over Washington
Boston over New Jersey
Philadelphia over Buffalo
Pittsburgh over Montreal
Boston over Philadelphia
Pittsburgh over Boston
West
San Jose over Calgary
Detroit over Los Angeles
Chicago over Vancouver
Nashville over Phoenix
Chicago over San Jose
Detroit over Nashville
Detroit over Chicago
Stanley Cup
Pittsburgh over Detroit
No way Chicago beats Vancouver this year, IMHO. I don’t see Vancouver bowing out before the conference finals, and are my pick to win it all. Every thing else looks ok, though!

East is a crap shoot, so tough to predict who’ll come out. I think Detroit takes it all again this year. They were pretty good last year, add Modano, Hudler and a healthy Franzen. As long as Howard avoids the sophomore jinx, they’re set.
