Bergeron
The Bruins at 6:02 a.m. this morning made official what RDS originally reported in the middle of the night: center Patrice Bergeron has re-signed to a three-year deal.
Reportedly, Bergeron gave up unrestricted free agency next summer for $5 million per year. Bergeron is making $4.75 million in the final year of his deal.

Glad that he no longer has to give the “I’m just focusing on this season” answer to reporters wanting his thoughts on a contract extension… instead, he really CAN just focus on the season, since his immediate future is already laid out. Bergy is an integral part of the community and a centerpiece of the team, and I know he will take pride in being a leader for this franchise. Can’t wait to see what this season brings!
