Didn’t make it to practice today while my wife and I brought the baby home for the first time.
But in case you haven’t noticed around the city yet, Versus has taken over numerous public transportation areas in an effort to promote the NHL on Versus. Here’s a look at some of the ads.
Word from Versus PR is that people are actually taking apart the bus depots in an effort to secure the ads as souvenirs. Now that’s dedication on the part of Bruins fans.
The Bruins will make their first North American appearance on Versus next Tuesday when they visit the Washington Capitals.

I watched the Leafs / Pens last night and must say that the Leafs are playing with the passion and determination the Bruins showed two years ago. I wouldn’t take them lightly.
I don’t think this start for Toronto will last for 2 reasons:
1) sure they may be more confident and have some more fight to them this season, but a three game win streak a season does not make.
2) The Phil Kessel trade has already become so bad for them that it can only get worse for them!
Leafs may have won last night, but Colton Orr sure didn’t:

HOLY SMOKED!!!
I think that Orr is still the toughest dude in the league, but people better watch out for the Engelland kid.

What’s up with the Leafs???
3-0
Much different from last years start. A confident Maple Leafs team could change the entire dynamics of the division.
