Rest for Chara, work for the PP
WILMINGTON, Mass. — Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara’s reward for logging 29:05 of ice time last night in the win at Washington was a day off from practice at Ristuccia Arena.
Boston’s special teams’ punishment for another fruitless night on the power play (0-for-4) was a solid 30 minutes of man-advantage work today.
More later.
Moving better today, but we’ll see tomorrow night. Practice doesn’t always = game play with this team.

I disagree with sitting Chara on the PP. If the forwards can get the puck moving, Z becomes dangerous. Getting pucks through(on net) from the point is extremely important on the PP, Z does this….also, he can bury the puck on the back door play.
Chara is not the problem on the PP, in fact he seems to be the only guy out there with confidence.(IMO)
It this PP gets clicking the Bruins are going to be very dangerous, but right now, opponents can swing momentum if their favor by taking a penalty.
lol *big* deal.
Hopefully Chara getting the day off practice will allow them to put 10 players that are better at the PP. Chara has a booming shot, bug deal. Sit him for the PP. Also, Hunwick was not on the PP, replaced by Recchi. Perhaps a Paille like sit down for Hunwick coming tomorrow night?
Are they as stationary in practice as they are in-game Matt? That 5 on 3 was horrendous last night!
